Frequently asked questions

What does FindMe do?

FindMe finds named people in your event videos and photos. Add one reference photo per person, and it collects the scenes where they appear, lets you set how many scenes each person gets, and exports a group highlight video or one video per person. For photos, it finds their pictures and lets you download the originals.

How accurate is the recognition?

Each face is first checked by a recognition model on our servers. Faces it is unsure about are reviewed a second time by a cloud face-comparison service before they count as a match. Small, blurred, side-on or very brief faces can still be missed, so you can review every suggestion, adjust clip boundaries and add scenes by hand before exporting.

How much does it cost?

Scans use credits; exports and re-using a saved analysis are free. A video costs 3 credits per started minute plus 3 credits per person; photos cost 3 credits per started 100 photos plus 2 credits per person. A 5-minute video with 2 people uses 21 credits. New accounts get 30 free credits, plans start at $19 a month and credit packs at $12.

What happens if a scan fails?

Failed scans are refunded in full automatically. If you cancel before a scan starts, all credits come back; after it starts, the per-person part is refunded.

Which files can I upload and download?

Videos in MP4, MOV or WebM and photos in JPG, PNG or WebP. Video highlights export as MP4 in 720p or 1080p with the original sound or silent, either one group video or a ZIP with a video for each person. The photo finder gives you the original photo files.

Will the video crop out everyone else?

No. FindMe selects time segments and keeps the full original frame, so other people stay visible in group shots.

Who can see my uploads?

Projects belong to your private account and are only visible to you. You can delete a project and its files at any time. See the privacy policy for how media is stored and processed.
